His House Children’s Home celebrated its annual Imagine Gala at the beautiful JW Marriott Marquis Miami. Guests were greeted with a vibrant Miami Nice theme transporting them into the energetic spirit of Miami’s thriving culture. The atmosphere was electric and rich as the organization celebrated its 34th year of restoring the lives of at-risk and underserved children in South Florida and from around the world.

The evening’s festivities included a cocktail reception amidst a spectacular silent auction, with over 150 luxurious items benefitting the children living at His House. Guests were greeted with a lively reception hosted by Master of Ceremony Enrique Santos, President and Chief Creative Officer of iHeart Media. A live auction enhanced the philanthropic goal of the evening as guests enjoyed an exquisite dinner and dancing to the amazing sounds of Marlow Rosado and his band. His House Board of Directors Chairman Alejandro Romillo and Director Felipe Basulto from TD Bank welcomed honored guests in attendance, including Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine-Cava, actor Steven Bauer and artist David Banegas. Established in 1989, His House Children’s Home is the largest residential campus in the state of Florida, providing exceptional care in residential and foster services to over 22,000 children who have called His House their home. Through this great cause, His House invites all on their journey to continue restoring the lives of hurting children for years to come.

Jaxson Maximus, Brickell – Miami

Cognac, Cars & Caviar was an innovative gathering and an unforgettable evening. After a long wait due to the pandemic, the in-person fundraiser took place at the esteemed Jaxson Maximus—a custom clothier, full-service tailor shop, and fine men’s luxury salon located in Brickell, Miami.

The event gathered over 300 exotic car connoisseurs, cognac aficionados, and a valued roster of community guests and leaders supporting the mission of His House. A flashing assortment of luxury vehicles lined the storefront, attracting awe, while guests enjoyed a myriad of gourmet bites, desserts and music by DJ Dro.

The highlight of the evening included a spectacular Silent Auction with carefully curated items such as luxury travel experiences, exclusive art, music and sports memorabilia, and designer handbags and accessories, much of which were donated by our faithful supporters. The most coveted items on the auction list were under a new category that was specifically launched with our children in mind–Children Experiences! Our children were surveyed and their top wishes were auctioned for fulfillment, such as a campus-wide trip to Disney World, Frost Museum, Miami Heat game, amongst other fun excursions.

Every year in the fall, His House Children’s Home hosts its annual signature event, the Imagine Gala. This enchanting evening takes place at the beautiful JW Marriott Marquis Miami drawing nearly 500 of the most influential, philanthropic and notable community leaders in South Florida.

In 2019, His House Children’s Home (HHCH) sponsored by Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd., Finker-Frenkel Legacy Foundation, and Honorary Hosts Jay and Jessica Leyva, celebrated its 30 year anniversary Imagine Gala at the JW Marriott Marquis Miami. The annual fundraising event featured the future of His House and its new forever home, scheduled for fall 2023.

The evening commenced with guests experiencing a virtual tour of His House cottages, followed by an opportunity to participate in a silent auction, which offered spectacular packages donated by faithful supporters and created to raise additional funds for the children. Items included vacation getaways, art pieces, fine jewelry, and autographed sports memorabilia.

The excitement continued with an invocation by Miami-Dade Commissioner Esteban L. Bovo, followed by a live auction and an unforgettable performance titled “This is Me” by The New World Connection. The celebration continued throughout the evening as guests danced the night away with live entertainment.
