As we begin the Lenten season, looking forward to Easter, we are reminded of the promise of renewal symbolized by Christ’s sacrifice and resurrection—sentiments deeply felt at His House. Through your support, we uplift children facing daily hardships, helping them find hope for a brighter future.

Easter is a season of renewal, a time when hope rises from despair and light shines in the darkest places. For six-year-old, Tyreek, that light began to shine the day he was found wandering the streets of Miami-Dade County, desperately searching for food—not just for himself, but for his four siblings at home.

At his young age, he was forced to beg strangers for something to eat. When law enforcement brought him home, the heartbreaking reality became clear, his home was in deplorable condition, and there was no one there to care for him or his siblings. They revealed a devastating truth—on school days, they were denied food. Their father only fed them on weekends when he was able to provide.

For the first time in their young lives, they were truly seen. Rescued from hunger and neglect, the siblings found refuge at His House Children’s Home, where they were met with warmth, compassion, and care. At first, the trauma they carried made it difficult for them to trust. But just like the message of Easter teaches us, hope has a way of breaking through even the most painful circumstances.

At His House, we are committed to showing these children that they are not forgotten. We provide more than just shelter and meals—we offer healing, counseling, and the love they need to rebuild their trust in the world. We ensure they maintain connection with their parents through supervised visits, reminding them that our role is not to take them away from their loved ones, but to help them find a path toward a brighter future. This Easter, you can be part of their story of renewal.

Your gift of $100, $50, $35 or even $25 – whatever you are able to give – will renew hope and joy into the lives of abandoned, abused or neglected children in South Florida.

As we celebrate the season of resurrection and new beginnings, will you bring hope to a child in need? Give today and help us restore lives—one child at a time.

Wishing you and your family a blessed Lenten season and a joyous Easter!
