Las Luciernagas Bring Joy to His House

January 31, 2016 - What an amazing way to end the month of January at His House Children's Home! The Social Innovations leadership group Las Luciernagas brought much needed house items, donations and activities for the children to enjoy.

Member Testimonies:
"Meeting the children from house #23 was unbelievable…All the struggle, back and forward, moving around in order to accomplish what we wanted to do for the children was totally worth it! The staff Kristen, Lucita and all the Volunteers are part of a great family that love and care for the kids as their own. They give them memories that would last a lifetime. I’m really thankful to His House, Sandra, Krysten and the kids for letting me and my team come and spend time with all of them, and teaching me personally a huge lesson of life, love, kindness, gratitude, and humbleness. There should be more people like the His House team making the difference in the world for our kids to grow and be happy." - Alessandra Miranda

"My experience today was unbelievable. It meant the world to me to have finally gotten the chance to get to know and play with the kids that we had been fundraising for the past three weeks. Seeing how happy they live was priceless. I'm really thankful for organizations such as His House Children’s Home that take the time and love to care for kids and give them the normal life they deserve. You can't begin to imagine the group of astonishing kids that Cottage #23 has. The way they take care of each other, how they play, and interact was the most amazing thing I could have ever experienced. These kids are full of love and energy despite what they went through before getting there. I am thankful that we were given the chance to interact with them, played games and filled their day with lots of love and laughter. Today was an unforgettable experience for all of us and we appreciate that His House gave us this opportunity. Every single one of the kids, I met today have impacted me in a way you can't imagine and that I will always remember." - Lisell Hiller
