FPL Hosts a Vocational Learning Day

December 4, 2015 - On Thursday December 4th FPL Hosted a Vocational Learning Day for our kids allowing them to learn more about one of FPL’s plants and how they produce energy.

They offered a very informative presentation to educate our teens on how the plant operates and the different steps that are involved with producing electricity.

Our faithful volunteer Jose, who works at FPL, was able to take us on a tour through the facility and see up close the different areas of the Ft. Lauderdale plant.

Jose and Managers were able to educate our kids about the different careers and opportunities that are available to them. The children were very encouraged and inspired.

Thank you Jose and all the amazing FPL employees for creating wonderful memories and help motivate the kids to dream and grow in new ways they didn’t know were possible.

If you would like to make a difference in the lives of His kids through a vocational tour or life skill, please contact our activities coordinator Carrie Franklin at Cfranklin@hhch.org.
