A Special Time of Year at His House...

Kakes for Kids

December 6th, 2014 - Christmas is a special time of year at His House and one of the annual events that everyone looks forward to the most is Deck the Halls. On December 06, over 180 volunteers arrived at His House to help us get ready for the holiday, and by the time they left, our campus and cottages were completely decorated.

The volunteers were organized into 12 different groups, each one adopting a cottage. Working side-by-side with the children, they trimmed the Christmas trees, baked and decorated cookies and completed other projects like making ornaments and personalized stockings. The sound of Christmas carols could be heard throughout the campus.

When the decorating was complete, the group shared a special dinner and a Christmas concert in our chapel.

Every effort was made to bring cheer to the children – and you could see delight in the eyes of even the shyest children as they joined right in!

We are so grateful to these wonderful volunteers who made Deck the Halls a day that our children will never forget.
