On Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 2nd, the Jason Taylor Foundation (JTF) hosted their annual "Cool Gear for the School Year" event, which provides underserved children the opportunity to participate in a back-to-school shopping experience as part of the new school year. The program's purpose is to help build each child's self-esteem and eliminate an unnecessary distraction, allowing each child to focus on their studies and not their attire while at school.
After enjoying a Chik-Fil-A dinner and musical entertainment, six kids from His House were each blessed with a $300 shopping spree at Old Navy. A Miami Dolphins cheerleader or athlete celebrity was assigned to each child to assist them during their shopping. The kids had a blast and walked out with plenty of bags, autographs, and huge smiles on their faces.
His House is very grateful to the Jason Taylor foundation for making this possible each year.
If you would like to donate new clothes for the children in our homes, please write to Patty at firstname.lastname@example.org.
