This summer, four of His kids joined a unique program offered by one of our community partners, Whispering Manes Therapeutic Riding Center. This very special camp is dedicated to providing therapeutic equine-assisted activities to adults and children with special needs and disabilities. Their goal is to encourage healing and improve self-esteem through interaction with horses.

For ten weeks our children will work one-on-one with trained professionals to master a variety of skills, like mounting and dismounting a horse, following directions, riding independently and communicating with the horse. They are having a great time and look forward to learning more each week!

As they master new skills, we see them growing in confidence, strength and responsibility. They have also made great strides in building trust as they bond with their instructors and their horses.

This experience is helping to bring joy and healing into their lives. We are grateful to Whispering Manes for offering this opportunity to His kids!
