FedEx Cares Day

Kakes for Kids at His House

FedEx Cares Day at His House Children’s Home took place on Tuesday, September 11, 2012. The project covered over seven different project sites on campus: read more below

From mini home makeovers, to organizing our warehouse, and even painting the residential offices, over 100 volunteers worked non-stop to make sure our kids came back to a beautiful campus.

With a total of three cottage makeovers, these volunteers had their work cut out for them! But not only did they accomplish all three beautifully, they also took on other important projects like painting the outside of our chapel and cleaning the pantry. They worked and worked all day, some volunteers not even wanting to stop for a lunch break just to make sure all projects were being taken care of!

After our dear friends from FedEx were done with the place, it was like a huge weight was lifted off our shoulders! They completed so much in such a short amount of time and we were amazed with the results.

Thanks to faithful community partners like FedEx we’re able to complete so many large projects that would otherwise become overwhelming. We are so grateful for our amazing friends at FedEx for pushing through and giving their time to make our campus a place of hope for kids in need!

His House thanks FedEx for their contribution in making this day a huge success. See you all again next year!
