In his career, he played for the Texas Rangers, Florida Marlins, Detroit Tigers, New York Yankees, Houston Astros and Washington Nationals. Ivan played for the Miami Marlins (formerly known as the Florida Marlins) when they won the world championship in 2003. Ivan came to visit His House last week to meet the kids and loved what he learned about the organization. After a tour of the facility he was taken to the camp to meet the kids. They greeted him with a loud H-E-L-L-O and lots of questions. Ivan was able to share his experiences and stressed to the kids that discipline and listening to wisdom from those older than you is very important. Ivan shared with them how he got started and why he retired. One kid even asked if he had his own bobble head. His visit inspired the kids to pursue their greatest dreams and were blessed with this opportunity to meet him.
