Team Depot Gives Back!
Team Depot

On Thursday, May 17th, over 200 volunteers from Home Depot (Team Depot), Old Castle, Bethel Farms and the football team from Archbishop Edward A. McCarthy High School joined efforts to benefit the lives of kids at His House Children’s Home through hands-on service projects: read more below

Currently housing over 100 kids on campus in 14 cottages, this project will involve creating a vegetable garden with a gazebo sitting area, creating an irrigation system, constructing new storage benches for each house, fixing a bathtub in one of the homes, assembling patio furniture for several houses and bringing two truckloads of sod to cover the school’s playground. The team also enjoyed a delicious lunch sponsored by J.T.’s Sports Bar & Grill.

Giving back is a fundamental value of The Home Depot and a passion for its associates. Through The Home Depot Foundation and its ongoing partnerships with nonprofit organizations, The Home Depot donates countless hours, tools and supplies each year to community service projects.

Team Depot is our associate volunteer force. On any given day, you’re likely to find associates from The Home Depot rolling up their sleeves to work on community projects across the country. Our associates and our vendors are very passionate about using their skills to improve their communities…whether it’s building playgrounds or homes, planting trees or restoring parks.

Every Home Depot retail store in the U.S., Canada and Mexico has a Team Depot program and Team Depot volunteers. South Florida’s District 85, includes eight store managers and over 200 volunteers to help with Team Depot Project on May 17th  at His House Children’s Home.
