A day of fun activities at His House hosted by
Miami Bible Church

Miami Bible Church came Saturday, September 18 to put on a sports days for all the kids at His House Children’s Home. The event began with a few w ords from their pastor, David Diaz, who gave a short message and was followed by worship, to get the party started. With an eager and organized plan of action the volunteers from Miami Bible Church setup stations for the children to enjoy themselves.

There were stations for face painting, sack races, soccer tournaments, and even a clown to add more fun into the mix. The children were very energetic so the event lasted from 11 a.m. to about 2 p.m. when it was time for the volunteers to leave. As 2 p.m. quickly approached it was hard to say goodbye, the children had such a great time with the volunteers and the volunteers enjoyed the kids company that 2 p.m. slowly became 3 p.m. and still no one wanted to leave. Our volunteer coordinator, Kristen Schein noted, “The church understood the heart of His House and because they didn’t want to leave they took it upon themselves to lengthen the relationship with our kids and would therefore are looking to get involved with other aspects of volunteerism on our campus.” Overall, the experience was rewarding for both the children and the volunteers, as they enjoyed the fun in the sun and the great food and games, it brought joy to their lives and irreplaceable memories that would last a lifetime.
