Sponsored by First Bank, Knights of Columbus, and Public Transportation Specialist, over 450 guests enjoyed a spectacular event at Jungle Island for the His House 19th Annual Banquet, “Love Lives Here”. Hosted by RuthieJ of Reach FM, this special night served as a fundraiser and awareness dinner for the many children in foster care in great need of families. The children gave a beautiful dance performance, “I am not forgotten” and the room was dilled throughout the night with wonderful worship songs by Blest entertainment group. A very special part of the night was when Cesar Joseph Merlino, who once lived at His House as a child in foster care, shared a heart-felt testimony about how His House welcomed him with love until the Lord brought his forever family, the Merlinos’. Special guests included Lourdes Garcia of Calvary Chapel Kendall and Keynote Speaker Brian Burkholder, Pastor of Hollywood Community Church, who moved many when sharing his story about how he and his family recently became foster parents to one of our teenage boys. His very compelling message encouraged the hearts of our guests to become involved.

His House appreciates every sponsor, individual and volunteer for making this 19th Annual Banquet a great success. For information about our next signature event and how you become involved, our 10th Annual Gala, please contact immarero@hhch.org.
