On Saturday, December 7th, His House started off the Christmas season with its annual Open House event. For five years now, His House has opened its campus doors to indivuduals and groups from the local community, to share it’s mission and vision. This year, over 230 people witnessed and experienced a day in the life of a child at His House through tours of the campus and cottages.

Guests appreciated the beautiful voices of volunteers singing christmas caroles and ringing in the holiday season. Everyone enjoyed an assortment of refreshments as well as tasty treats, hot chocolate and coffee generously sponsored by Mischa’s Cupcakes and Starbucks. It was very exciting to see more youth groups getting involved more than ever and making donations of toys, clothing and other much needed items. Younger children happily dropped off filled coin banks – feeling proud that they too were able to help other children in need.

Our special guests, the Gonzalez family, shared thier compelling testimony of how they became a forever family for three children through adoption. They shared how importnat the gift of family is especially for children in foster care.

During this holiday season we are grateful for your friendship and support. It is beacause of faithful friends like you that we are able to care for kids who desperately need our help.

If you would like to get involved in the next fundraiser event, please write to imarrero@hhch.org
