Hello Family & Friends:

Today was a very special day as the Miami marathon run took place at 6:10am. I was able to finish the race in 2 hours 40 minutes, 17,999 running steps- and my legs right now are pretty beat up..
 
This was the Bravo's first Marathon experience, and I have to say that we will do it again in a blink of an eye. It was an amazing experience!

As 18,000 + runners from all over the states started running towards the finish line, my heart was pounding of joy and inspiration as almost every runner was running for a specific cause even if it meant being on a wheelchair.  We wanted to share with you some fun pictures of the event and also thank you for all the financial support , and the prayers you provided us through this last Month for our cause "His House Children's Home" run. Although we were not able to meet our financial goal of $500, the most amazing part  was to see how God touched hearts through your prayers, and in the midst of this bad economic times  many helped with the little they had.

Thanks to my wonderful husband that is always there supporting me!! He prepared the most amazing Pasta dinner for his wife the night before the race!!
We pray that we can continue to run for this cause every year-so if you are up to it, come and run with us for His House 2011!!

WE DID IT!!

I would like to thank you and the members of your organization for being a part of this incredible weekend. It was my first time being a part of the ING Miami Marathon, and I didn’t expect I could enjoy work as much as I did this weekend, and it was greatly in part due to you all! It was very rewarding to be able to see the smiles of relief and accomplishment on everyone’s faces once they crossed that line.

We here are proud of the efforts each one of you put forth, and if you raised money for your cause and we would like to acknowledge that, so if you could send me a rough estimate of how much was raised for the marathon that would be greatly appreciated. The email with the fundraising totals will be going out tomorrow, so the sooner you can get that to me, the better.

Finally, I wanted to remind you that the Blitz registration is going on right now, but hurry up because it ends on Tuesday, February 9! This is a great time to register. You will be saving a lot more if you sign up now than if you sign up with the charity discount code. What I will do is manually input the people who register now to be part of the charity they pertain to so that you and your organization can take advantage of this great deal. Please inform all your members about this opportunity. The link to the blitz is below, so let’s get ready for next year! This is a great way to commit and start your efforts to train and raise more money!!
