Alpha & Omega Church Blesses His House Children's Home

June 12, 2010, We are so thankful to our brothers and sisters at Alpha and Omega Church who dedicated so much time and provided their services to restore cottage 29 at His House Children’s Home.  For months leading up to the project, Alpha and Omega Church members volunteered every week to paint and restore the home.  They renovated each room, the kitchen, provided electrical and plumbing services, decorated the entire house, painted and landscaped the yards.

The Remodel of Cottage 29 will soon be a home for adolescent girls who have aged out of foster care system.  This home will provide the support needed to continue to mentor these girls into a healthy upbringing.

First Home™, a newly established program at His House, is a residential program for transitioning at-risk youth ages 18-22.  Residents live at First Home™ for one to three years, based on their individual needs.

This home will offer the girls a safe environment, comprehensive life skills curriculum and support where residents can focus on achieving their education, career and financial goals.  The young ladies will be offered the opportunity to gain the strength and self-esteem needed to reach their full potential.

We are so thankful to our friends at Alpha & Omega who answered the call to serve His Kids and transformed this beautiful home, which is a huge blessing.
