Jason
Jackson hosted the press conference as the event proceeded with words from
special guests Eric Woolworth, President of the HEAT Groups Business
Operations and Penny Shaffer, South Florida Market President of Blue Cross Blue
Shield Florida.
This
is the sixth Learn and Play
Center the Miami HEAT has
had the pleasure of unveiling over the past five years, said Woolworth.
The idea behind these centers is to make them inviting places where children
can work, play and bond in a safe environment.
Following
the ribbon-cutting ceremony, His Kids became wide-eyed as they entered their
newly renovated play room. Their profuse energy filled the room as HEAT
players Mark Blount and James Jones played checkers and video games with them.
His
House thanks the HEAT, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida and HP for touching
the lives of children by making this renovation possible.
